Men faced with hair loss don’t want a temporary solution; they want a full, natural-looking head of hair that lasts them for the rest of their life. One of the best ways to get long-lasting results is through surgical intervention, and specifically through a hair transplant.
The methods for hair transplantation have advanced considerably. Today, these procedures can be done incredibly quickly—both with minimal time in the operating room and with minimal time required for recovery. The results look totally natural, and can provide men with full, new hair growth all over their scalp.
At HRC Dayton, we have a full suite of operating rooms, and are equipped to perform hair transplants of any kind—including FUT and FUE procedures. To learn more about how hair transplants work, we invite you to contact us directly.
Surgical Hair Restoration for Men
While there are different types of hair transplant, they work in largely the same way. Healthy hair follicles are harvested from somewhere on your body—usually the back or side of your head—then grafted to your scalp. The hair from these follicles sheds within a few weeks—a perfectly normal part of the process! Within about 90 days, however, those follicles will start showing healthy new growth. From there, the hair on your head will grow consistently, at the same speed hair grows elsewhere on your body.
These procedures can be done quickly in one of our Dayton, Ohio operating room suites—and there is not much recovery required. We’re happy to talk with you directly about what a hair transplant procedure might mean for you.
Are You a Good Candidate for a Hair Transplant?
Surgical hair restoration for men can offer long-lasting and natural-looking results—but are you a good candidate for a hair transplant? We advise you to meet with one of our stylists in a relaxed, private, one-on-one setting, where we can help you determine whether hair surgery is right for you.
In general, though, we recommend transplants for men who:
- Are 18 years or older.
- Have a sufficient donor sample on the back or side of their head.
- Have permanent hair loss, moderate to severe in nature.
- Are generally in good health.
